I was going to write about something else but moved that topic to UNarticle #24 (coming in January) because after tonight’s theater movie, I had to immediately write blog-style about Eli Roth’s Thanksgiving.

It’s just great! Terrible. So bad. Roth is a horrible director. The dialogue makes no sense. The plot, the twist … it’s such a great travesty. I haven’t had this much fun since M. Night Shyamalan’s moronic escapade Knock at the Cabin.

Thanksgiving is one of the best movies of the year. Pure awful. I was smiling and laughing for almost the entire thing (up until Roth tried to have some scary, gore-ture crap and it became less entertaining). Yeah, he tends to accidentally entertain.

And don’t let Roth or anyone else use the on-purpose, satire, popcorn excuse. Popcorn movies are good because they’re bad. Poorly-made. And this is so poorly-made and bad that I didn’t have to get popcorn or any other snacks! I was full from quite a turkey.

Thank you, Eli.

[NOTE: I was so excited, I published this on Thanksgiving Eve.]
